vacancies

Vacancies are listed in alphabetical order. The listings on this page do not necessarily represent all of the opportunities available at any given time. If you do not see something here that you would like to apply for, simply register with TechStaff (if you have not already done so), so that you may be considered for other suitable positions as they arise.

In some situations, we will have standing orders for clients. This is where a client may not have a specific position they are trying to fill, but are interested in certain types of people and like to know who might be around and possibly seeking a new job. Sometime we have more than one client seeking a very similar person. This could be a civil engineer with significant roading design, or perhaps water experience. Rather than listing a number of practically identical jobs, we may list one that could apply to two or more different clients, and this will be explained to applicants.

A point perhaps worth mentioning is that you may see some recruiters with a list of vacancies longer than your arm. This does not necessarily mean they are very busy and active. Many simply go to the websites of various companies, check for current vacancies and copy / paste the details into their own site with a bit of editing to hide the fact. Some actually copy the advert verbatim! If somebody then applies for one of these jobs, they will make an "innocent" approach to the company concerned to advise the availability of say, a mechanical drafter or engineer. They already know the company is looking for such a person. Sneaky.
